In November 1987 under the guidance of Margaret Godden, a meeting was held with 10 members present concerning the formation of a new branch of the ACW.
It was the general approval of the group that their mission would be visiting the sick and shut in at hospital and home.
It was agreed that this group be named ” Daughters of St. Luke”.
Over the years the group has extended the visits to Patricia Gardens and Princess Court.
There are several Daughters that get together once a month to knit and crochet shawls which are given to the sick and families that have lost a loved one.
The Daughters meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The knitters meet on the last Monday of the month at 1:00 pm at the rectory.
